ASA Instructor Qualification Course
(Abian Spa Aesthetic)
This is the highest-level qualification offered by Abian Spa Aesthetic (ASA). It is awarded only to those who have obtained the Gold Abian title, deeply understand ASA’s philosophy of “Mind, Technique, and Body”, and are recognized as suitable to become an official ASA Instructor.

- Receive an official ASA Instructor Certificate in a carved wooden frame
- Your name will be registered permanently with ASA
- You can be registered as an ASA Certified School
- You can use the ASA Scholarship System to recruit students
- Shorter training time/period may be available for scholarship students (subject to conditions)
📜 Requirements to Join the Instructor Course
To apply for the Instructor Course, you must meet one of the following conditions:
- At least 3 months have passed since you obtained your Gold Abian title.
- At the time you obtained Gold Abian, you scored 91 points or higher in all qualification exams for every subject (this allows you to continue directly onto the Instructor Course).
If you wish to continue straight from Gold Abian to the Instructor Course, you may do so if you achieved 91 points or more in all subjects in your Gold Abian exams.
🕊 Gold Abian – Requirements
Gold Abian is awarded automatically (no exam) when you satisfy all of the following:
- Complete the required basic lesson hours for Foot Massage and Facial Massage

Complete the basic lesson hours for 2 techniques from the list below:
Love Lulur / Scrub Lulur / Love Boreh / Full Body Pack - Obtain the qualification for Traditional Balinese Massage
- Obtain the qualification for Cream Bath or Shirodhara

Obtain qualifications for 2 techniques from the following:
Deep Tissue / Bali Spirit / Swedish / Tapak Bali (Reflexology) / Gita Santhi / Watu Bara (Hot Stone) / Rempah-Rempah (Herbal) / Hidup Kembali (Balance & Alignment)
Optional Massage Techniques (1 Technique)
If there is a technique you have not yet taken during your Gold Abian course, you can choose one from the list below for your Instructor Course:
- Deep Tissue Abian
- Bali Spirit Abian
- Swedish Abian
- Tapak Bali Abian
- Gita Santhi Abian
- Watu Bara Abian
- Rempah-Rempah Abian
- Hidup Kembali Abian
📚 Theory & Field Training
In addition to practical massage training, you will study:
- History of Balinese spa and esthetics
- Effects of each massage technique on the body and mind
- Meridians and acupressure points
- Knowledge of oils, creams, and herbal products used in treatments
- Basic legal and tax knowledge for opening and running a salon
You will also join special sessions with the ASA principal, including talks, yoga, and meditation, to learn more deeply about the “mind” aspect of our philosophy.
🧪 Exams
- Practical exam for your chosen optional massage technique
- Practical skill test – one technique will be selected from all techniques you have studied
- Written test based on theory and knowledge training
- Final interview with the ASA principal (for those who pass the exams)

Students who pass the exams will receive a
government-recognized qualification certificate issued by the Bali Provincial Education Department of Indonesia,
which is highly trusted in the spa and beauty industry.
To receive a certificate with the official government stamp, you must enter Indonesia with a Single-Entry Visa (C9).
If you enter with a tourist visa (VOA / e-VOA), you may still take the exam and receive a certificate,
but the government stamp will not be included.
