Therapist Qualification Courses
Our longer courses from 4 nights / 5 days up to 28 nights / 29 days are recommended for: complete beginners, therapists who want to add new menu items to their salon, those planning to open a salon, and experienced therapists who wish to upgrade their skills.
Each course at Abian Spa Aesthetic Academy (ASA) has a set
standard number of lesson hours. Once you complete the required hours,
you are eligible to take the qualification exam. Those who pass will receive a
government-recognized certificate (diploma) issued by the Bali Provincial Education Department
of Indonesia, which is highly valued in the spa and beauty industry.
To receive a certificate with the official government stamp, you must enter Indonesia with a Single-Entry Visa (C9).
If you enter with a Visa on Arrival (VOA / e-VOA) as a tourist, you may still take the exam and receive a certificate,
but the government stamp will not be included.

At ASA you can learn a wide variety of techniques such as Balinese massage, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Facial treatments, and Herbal therapies. The curriculum is suitable both for adding new menu items to your salon and for creating a full professional spa menu.
Please note that not all techniques have a qualification exam.
For Facial, Love Lulur, Love Boreh, Full Body Pack, and Foot Bath & Massage,
there is no qualification exam. After finishing the lessons for these techniques,
you will receive a certificate of completion.
🌻 Foot Bath & Massage – Required Subject
Foot Bath & Massage is a required subject if you wish to take any body massage qualification exam.
Example: If you take the 20-hour Traditional Balinese Massage course,
you also need to add 5 hours of Foot Bath & Massage.

Learn authentic healing techniques and enjoy a special stay in Bali. You can choose from a wide range of programs according to your length of stay.
💡 What Is Included in the Fee
- Round-trip transfers between Denpasar (Bali) Airport and the hotel
- Lesson fees, practice model fees, and Japanese-speaking interpreter fees
- All training products and learning materials

Accommodation, Lessons, Exams, and Schedule
🏨 Accommodation
You will stay at Abian Harmony Hotel. It is located on the same property as the school, so you do not need to travel far and can stay comfortably and safely.
All lessons are conducted in a one-on-one style with a teacher, practice model, and English-speaking interpreter supporting you throughout the training.
🪷 Lessons and Qualification Exams
You will receive your qualification only after passing the exam for each technique.
Please note: Taking the lessons alone does not automatically give you the qualification.
Exam-related fees (payable locally)
・Indonesian government application fee: JPY 3,000 per certificate
・Exam fee for each technique: JPY 4,000
・Re-examination (second time or more):
- Technique exam: JPY 3,000
📝 Exams, Extra Nights, and Room Upgrade
- Exams can be taken after you have completed all required lesson hours for each subject.
- Exams are usually scheduled for the day after you finish your lessons.
- Extra night: JPY 6,800 per night (including breakfast)
- Bathtub room upgrade: +JPY 2,200 per night (limited rooms)
📅 Course Start Dates & School Holidays
Please check the link below for our school holidays in 2026. Except for school holidays, you can normally start your course on any day, including weekends, Christmas, and New Year.
Therapist Qualification Courses｜Timetable
Here are timetables for our main qualification courses (from 6 nights / 7 days to 28 nights / 29 days). Lesson time is usually 09:00–15:00 with a 1-hour lunch break. After class you are free to enjoy Bali – spa, shopping, or sightseeing.

🏅 About the Gold Abian Qualification
Gold Abian is a special qualification that is
automatically awarded to students who complete the
28 nights / 29 days course and meet the conditions below.
There is no separate exam for the Gold Abian itself.
It is a required qualification if you wish to become an Abian Instructor in the future.
Conditions to obtain the Gold Abian qualification:
- Complete the basic lesson hours for Foot Bath & Massage and Facial Massage (no exam)
